Mount Allison University's Black Tie Productions is revisiting the 1990s for its annual fundraiser show.
Black Tie's Back! (alright!) will showcase current cast members and recent alumni's talent with musical acts, skits and dance that capture the spirit of '90s boy bands, tv shows and fashion, to name a few. Members of Mount Allison's much-loved improv show will also be making a guest appearance.
The show, which is open to everyone, will take place Thursday, March 4 at 8:30 p.m. in Live Bait Theatre. Admission is by donation.
"The fundraiser show is a great opportunity for audience members to take a break from school or work and have some fun," says Emily Jewer, president of Black Tie, "and it's also a great way to raise money for the society, so we can keep producing musicals each year."
This year, Black Tie is producing the Tony award-winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The show will run from March 17-20. For more information, visit the website at www.mta.ca/blacktie/
