FREDERICTON, N.B. – Gaëtan Thomas, president and chief executive officer of NB Power, has joined the board of directors of Plug'n Drive, a non-profit organization committed to accelerating the adoption of electric cars to maximum their environmental and economic benefits.

"NB Power is committed to supporting and facilitating the electric vehicle market as it evolves in New Brunswick, working to ensure customers have access to the proper technology, products and services when they need them."
Plug'n Drive is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Canadian drivers switch to electric cars by focusing on education programs and the development of home and public charging infrastructure.

NB Power is in the midst of a two-year demonstration project called Shift Your Ride, designed to test and evaluate electric vehicles and charging technology in New Brunswick's rural and urban environments while facilitating the growth of the market through education.
