A local business has purchased two lots in Sackville's industrial park, providing the firm with a greater opportunity for expansion.

R&B Dobson Ltd., owners and operators of Sackville Auto & RV on Cattail Ridge near the highway, are gearing up to start selling Maple Leaf homes and have acquired the new lots to free up some showcase space on site.

Coun. Merrill Fullerton, who made a motion during last Monday night's council meeting to sell the industrial park lots on the newly-developed Fleet Street to R&B Dobson Ltd., said the local firm will use the three acres of property for RV storage and service as well as setting up a new self-storage facility.

"This is a good deal for the community," said Fullerton. "This expansion could create up to three or four new jobs . . . and the sale of these homes could also help spur on construction and development projects in Sackville."

With this latest sale, only one lot now remains in the new section of Sackville's industrial park, which is a parcel of land that has been subdivided off of Crescent Street.

"It's been a relatively good year for the industrial park, the land is quickly getting eaten up," said Fullerton.
