March Break is right around the corner, but Tantramar is still planning for events that will be happening in the months of March and April.

Our senior boys’ and girls’ basketball teams recently hosted a regional competition to determine which teams would advance to the provincials. The girls’ team battled to finals on Saturday, but unfortunately were short just a few points to advance. Our ladies and men Titans showed true Titan spirit as they fought hard at every game. The result may not have ended the way we hoped, but we are still extremely proud of how far our Titan teams have progressed. We would also like to congratulate Sarah Briggs, Katie Cadman, Jason Johnson and Nick Boyd for achieving all-star status.

The grad council is in the process of fundraising for grad activities by volunteering as servers at the Masons’ breakfast, which is being held on Saturday morning, March 16, and again on Saturday morning, April 21. The Masons will be giving the grad class of 2013 a donation for their contributions to these events. On Wednesday, March 20, the grads are planning another casino night adventure. The last casino night was a blast for all students, and we are looking forward to yet another great event.

The famous hypnotist Ian Steward will be performing at TRHS on Wednesday evening, March 27, as part of TRHS’s winter carnival week. Tickets will be pre-sold at lunch for $8 and at the door for $10. The Titan community is welcome, but seating is limited so purchase your tickets early. It should be another must-see event, and the Titans are looking forward to it.

The Tantramar Craft Group has plans to continue making beautiful quilts to fundraise for the grad class.

They would love donations of t-shirts, preferably themed (Wetlands or Titan shirts), as well as old flannel shirts and quilt backs. We would love for the craft group to continue making these quilts, as they are a big hit with families, but in order to do so they are in need of some donations. Any contribution would be appreciated.

Finally, Tantramar is looking for volleyball coaches.  If you would like to coach a varsity team at TRHS, please contact Trent Mann at 506-364-4060 or drop by the school.

Thanks for the continuous support from the Titan community. We greatly appreciated everything the community has offered us, and we plan on hosting many more enjoyable events.
