Marshview students Jeffrey Lafford and Meredith Hicks display some of the magazines that are available through subscriptions during their annual fundraiser, which kicks off this week.
Marshview Middle School is kicking off its annual magazine campaign today.
Last year, the students sold hundreds of magazine subscriptions that helped provide funds for many different things in the school. Students are now able to enjoy a new 13 X 10 foot screen for assemblies and presentations. The school was also able to update some sound equipment in the gym that has helped with assemblies, dances and other presentations. Each year students are asked for input as to where the funds should be used.
This year students will be selling magazine subscriptions from Wednesday, Oct. 9 until Monday, Oct. 21. Students will be selling subscriptions but magazine orders can also be placed online at www.QSP.ca or you can drop by the school to get more information. Any orders that are on “paper” have an extra $1 surcharge so people are encouraged to complete orders online.
The students are very excited about the magazine campaign again this year. Last year, many students worked hard and sold numerous subscriptions. One student sold over 75. One class had every student in the class sell at least one subscription.
The magazine orders do not have to be only for you. Orders can be used as gifts because they can be sent anywhere in Canada.
Marshview Middle School is grateful for all the support the community has shown through the years. Without the community support, the school would not be able to provide such a large variety of opportunities for student life. The community makes this fundraiser a success.
