The Sweetest Little Thing fundraiser returns for 15th year

SACKVILLE, N.B. – The Owens Art Gallery and Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre are pleased to announce the 15th annual fundraising event, The Sweetest Little Thing. This event will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 15 Lorne Street, Sackville, N.B. This annual event brings together a broad range of artists, community members and students.

As always, there will be an abundance of fun and fantastic events that include the ever-popular cake walk, where event goers purchase a ticket to see who wins delectable cakes created by community members. You can also look forward to the Instant Lovin’ photo booth, a fabulous abundance of raffle prizes, a variety of different treats from the Sweetest Little Thing table as well as music and dancing.

Don’t forget about the main event of the night, the silent art auction. Artists from the local, cross-country, and international art community have donated works to be auctioned off throughout the evening. Artists who have submitted for this year’s auction include Ingrid Bachmann, Alan Derek Barbour, Jennifer Bélanger, Margaret Ann Capper, Alison Creba, Coleen Davidson, Tonia Di Risio, Julian Forrest, Chris Foster, Kerri George, Zachary Gough, Robert Hengeveld, Yoko Homareda, Marcia Huyer, Jacob Dahlstrup Jensen, Lisa Lipton, Robyn Love, Susan Lukachko, Dawn MacNutt, Andrew Maize, Deborah Margo, Catherine Meyers, Andrew John Milne, Laila Moysey, Kyra Walker Pearson, Kate Phillips, Uta Riccius, Mary Rothlisberger, Roger Savage, Rena Thomas, Indu Varma, Eric Walker, Aaron Weldon, Tara K Wells, Julie Whitenect, Susan Wood, George Zimbel. Works can be previewed now at, www.sweetestlittlething.ca. This site will be updated on a regular basis.

All are welcome to attend this event. Admission is free. Proceeds from the evening are divided between the Owens Art Gallery and Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre to assist with programming throughout the year.
