CAPE TORMENTINE, N.B. – For the sixteenth year in a row, members of the Port Elgin Rotary Club are organizing their annual Bluegrass and Country Music Festival.

The popular annual event will once again be held at the Cape Tormentine Camp Grounds from July 25-27.

A number of new groups will be on the stage Saturday and Sunday along with a number of the usual favourites.

The always-popular “open mike” session will be held on Friday night as has been the case in years past.

This three-day event is a major fundraiser for the Port Elgin Rotary Club, with the proceeds going towards the many projects, both locally and internationally, which are sponsored by the club.

Members of the local Rotary Club are inviting area residents to come down to enjoy the music and the fun.

Canteen services will be provided on site, there will be 50-50 draws and tickets will be sold on a beautiful acoustic guitar.

Those planning to attend are reminded they can stay for a day or they can bring along their tent or trailer and stay for the weekend.

As in previous years, the event promises sun, the beach, music, good food and good friends.

For further information, or to sign up for the open mike evening, phone Gerry Chapman at 506-538-2900.
