Tantramar Regional High School held its graduation ceremonies Saturday where 142 graduates walked across the stage of Convocation Hall at Mount Allison University.
Tantramar Principal Jason Reath pointed out that although the sun may not have been shining outside, it certainly was inside with all the smiling faces.
After speaking with the graduates on stage privately for a few moments, Reath spoke of how, as educators, he and the staff at Tantramar have cared for the graduates during their time at TRHS and hoped that they would always continue learning in order to make tomorrow better than today.

He also took some time to thank the community and the families of the graduates for their involvement and noted "the kind of people sitting on the stage speaks volumes for the work they have done."
The graduates and guests appreciated superintendent of School District 2 Karen Branscombe's good wishes on behalf of the district, inspired from the Dr. Seuss book The Places You Will Go.
Guest speaker Jennifer Wilson, a member of the 2003 graduating class, addressed the graduates on the topic of dealing with failure and making the most of the experiences life brings. She also illustrated with many personal accounts from the 2003 graduates' experiences that the years spent in high school may not always be indicative of how your life may turn out.
Valedictorian Mariah Malone related many experiences that the class of 2009 had shared on their journey to this special day. She told her fellow graduates to "strive to make their lives special in all they do".
She also reminded the graduates of the moments spent together in the past, to revel in the present, and to look hopeful toward the future.
Malone received the Governor General's award for top academic achievement and Caroline Evans was awarded the Birks' medal for school involvement.
The graduation ceremonies were followed by a reception at the high school.
