The Tantramar Family Resource Centre will hold its first of two giant yard sales on May 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Octagonal House in Sackville.
The proceeds from the yard sale, which consists of items donated by students and residents of Sackville, will go directly toward funding more programming through the TFRC. Further donations will also be accepted throughout the
summer.
The Family Resource Centre currently offers, in partnership with the Talk With Me program, a parent-child Mother Goose program for parents and their children aged 0-5, and has offered programs for youth and literacy programs at Salem Elementary School in co-operation with Laubach Literacy.
The newly-formed board aims to develop programming and educational initiatives for all types of families in the region. For more information on their activities, contact Tanya Hess at 536-0117 or attend their next monthly meeting on June 6 at 7 p.m. in the town hall board room.
