In the article Town councillors deny conflict-of-interest allegations in the Nov. 25 issue, it incorrectly stated that Coun. Margaret Tusz-King (who was defending herself against allegations of a potential conflict in the wind power debate) said she and her husband were no longer involved in Energreen Builders.
In fact, at the council meeting when she made her statement regarding EnerGreen Builders, she explained that the cooperative business that her husband Eric is still a member of - EnerGreen Builders Cooperative Ltd. - did, in the past, have a division that installed wind and solar systems, but this division was sold earlier this year and is no longer part of EnerGreen Builders Cooperative. (Energreen still builds new energy-efficient houses and does energy-efficient upgrades on existing homes.)
"So neither I nor my husband have any business interest in wind energy systems," she said at October's council meeting.
