Arrest made in Sackville hit-and-run investigation

Sackville RCMP have arrested a 29-year-old Sackville man in relation to a hit and run that occurred on Main Street in Sackville on the evening of Monday, Feb. 1, 2010.

RCMP officers executed a search warrant on March 17 and seized the vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. The man was arrested, questioned by police and later released. He will be appearing in Moncton Provincial Court on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, to face related charges.

Sackville RCMP have arrested a 29-year-old Sackville man for a hit and run that occurred on Main Street in Sackville on the evening of Monday, Feb. 1, 2010.

On Feb. 1 at approximately 10:55 p.m., a 21-year-old female student from Mount Allison University was struck by a vehicle while she was walking northbound in front of Sassy's convenience store. The driver left the scene. The victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Moncton City Hospital.
