RCMP seeking suspect in armed robbery

SHEDIAC, N.B. – District 4 RCMP Shediac is seeking the public’s assistance in connection with an investigation of an armed robbery that took place in Shediac.

At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2013, Shediac RCMP responded to a complaint that a man was robbed at knifepoint while sitting in his car in the parking lot of Dollarama on Main Street in Shediac.

The suspect is approximately 5’ 10” tall, of average size with a full dark beard. He was wearing a black hoodie, faded blue jeans, and a black ball cap bearing the Caterpillar logo.

The man took off with the victim’s wallet and an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information about this incident or may have seen a man matching the description of the suspect in the area of Dollarama during the lunch hour is asked  to contact District 4 RCMP Shediac at 506-533-5151 or Crime Stoppers at www.crimenb.caor 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
