Members of the Sackville RCMP are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred just after midnight on Wednesday, July 7. A young Sackville couple was walking on York Street in Sackville when they were surrounded by four young males who demanded money. The suspects fled the scene after one of the victims called 911 with a cell phone.

One of the suspects was described as being 17-18 years old, approximately six feet tall, skinny, with dark hair, a pierced tongue and wearing a white hoody. A second suspect was approximately six feet tall, 180 pounds and wearing a black hoody. The two other suspects were described as being about five feet seven inches tall and also young.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact District 4 RCMP at 506-533-5151 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

This just stresses the fact that the Community is not meeting the needs of its Youth Population. This type of behavior is going to continue as long as the Youth have nothing constuctive to do or have a safe supervised place to hang out with their piers; like a Youth Drop-in Centre.
