New Brunswick NDP leader Dominic Cardy and Cumberland North MLA Brian Skabar will serve as guest speakers this weekend at the Tantramar New Democrats’ annual general meeting in Sackville.
Elections to the executive of the NDP Tantramar Electoral District Association will also be conducted during the meeting.
The local riding association is comprised of members of the NDP residing in the electoral district of Tantramar. The executive of the association administers local efforts on behalf of the party, including organizing, fundraising, recruiting new members and managing the association’s finances. The executive positions are currently open for nomination and they consist of president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and five members-at-large.
The meeting, which is an opportunity for NDP members and supporters to gather to renew the local organization and hear from prominent New Democrats, will be held on Sunday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall.
