Polar bear dippers ring in new year

Thirty brave souls rang in 2014 with an icy dip in Palmer's Pond during Dorchester's annual New Year's Day polar bear dip.

Despite the fact that temperatures were hovering around -12, a large crowd was on hand to watch the dippers in action.

    According to my granddaughter at Mount Allison University the teaching staff are threatening the student programs by going on strike. How true is this situation in Sackville? I don't like labour strikes at any level but when it affects students who have paid their tuition it is a criminal act!
