British currency, firearms stolen from residence in Dorchester

DORCHESTER, N.B. – Southeast RCMP are investigating a break and enter and theft that occurred in the village of Dorchester in late January.

Sometime between Jan. 26 and Jan. 27, an unknown suspect(s) broke into a residence in Dorchester and stole a number of items, including the equivalent of $2,000 in British Pounds (in twenty and fifty pound notes), a pair of British Army-issued trousers and five hunting rifles of various makes and models.

The investigation is ongoing.
