Man sentenced to four years for two armed robberies

SACKVILLE, N.B. – Jesse Wheaton, 29, of Sackville, N.B., appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on April 2, 2014, for sentencing following his guilty pleas on two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon.

He received 24 months in jail for each offence, to be served consecutively, as well as a 10 year weapons prohibition.

He was arrested on Dec. 10, 2013, following two incidents that occurred on Nov. 28, 2013, and Dec. 10, 2013, where a man entered the Irving Mainway store on Main Street in Sackville, armed with a knife, and took an amount of cash and cigarettes.
