Two injured in head-on collision in Jolicure

Sackville RCMP

JOLICURE, N.B. – The Sackville RCMP is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 16 in Jolicure on Sunday evening.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., a passenger vehicle travelling southbound on Route 16 is believed to have crossed the centre line and hit a passenger vehicle travelling northbound.

Both drivers, a 34-year-old woman from Moncton and a 20-year-old woman from Springhill, N.S. were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

An RCMP reconstructionist and the Port Elgin Fire Department assisted. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor of the crash.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
