SACKVILLE, N.B. – A 35-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, both from Sackville, were arrested last week and are facing charges following an altercation at the local food bank.

Sgt. Jamie Graves of the Sackville RCMP said officers were called to a “fight in progress” at the food bank on Willow Lane at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7. Four individuals were involved in the incident, he said, which began inside the food bank centre and ended up outside before two of the individuals fled the scene before police arrived.

One male was transported to hospital by ambulance following the fight with minor injuries but was released a couple hours later. No weapons were involved, said Graves.

Police captured the two individuals who left the scene later that day and charges are pending. The male was arrested and released pending his court date. The female is being remanded until her court date due to a breach of probation order.
