SACKVILLE, N.B. – Sackville will once again have a greater police presence in the community during the summer months.

Two students from Oulton’s Business College’s policing and corrections foundation course were recently hired by the town and will be working with Sackville’s bylaw enforcement officer as part of their on-the-job training.

The two cadets were recently sworn in as bylaw enforcement officers and will take on duties associated with that position – such as dealing with parking violations, conducting evening park patrols, etc.  They will also serve as extra security during special events throughout the summer and will also, at times, work with the local RCMP.

The cadets took on their duties June 2 and will be with the town until Aug. 22.
