SACKVILLE, N.B. – Staff at town hall are facing a few minor hiccups as they adjust to new computer systems and software.

Sackville chief administrative officer Phil Handrahan said the changeover has caused a few slowdowns and glitches over the past few weeks as staff become familiar with the different programs in moving to an Office 365 environment.

But while there are a few minor challenges, Handrahan pointed out the new system will enable town staff to “be better connected, enhance the manner in which we carry out day-to-day responsibilities as well as provide improved security and management of the town’s filing system.”

Treasurer Michael Beal said the finance department will also be undergoing further software upgrades in the near future, including payroll, fixed asset monitoring and asset management software.
