Moncton Miracles struck down by Lightning

On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the visiting London Lightning hammered the Moncton Miracles 119-84 in front of fans at the Moncton Coliseum.

Boubacar Coly and Darrell Wonge led the Miracles, scoring 16 points each.

The loss brings the Miracles record to eight wins and 26 losses.

The team is out of the 2011-12 playoffs.

The Miracles will host the Halifax Rainmen on Monday, Feb. 27. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Moncton Miracles are part of the National Basketball League of Canada.

Founded in 2011, the National Basketball League of Canada is the country's only professional basketball league. Seven teams are playing in the inaugural 2011-2012 season and the league is poised for continued expansion across Canada. NBL Canada is headquartered in Toronto, Ont.
