The Mount Allison Mounties, in their own gym, almost upset the visiting MSVU Mystics in men's ACAA basketball action on Sunday night, but the Mystics held on to edge out the Mounties 66-63.

Top scorers for the Mounties were Quispamsis, N.B. native Josh Graham with a game-high of 27 points. Scoring 10 points each were Moncton resident Jeff Sadler and Fall River's Ben Chisholm.

The Mount Allison Mounties, in their own gym, almost upset the visiting MSVU Mystics in men's ACAA basketball action on Sunday night, but the Mystics held on to edge out the Mounties 66-63.

Top scorers for the Mounties were Quispamsis, N.B. native Josh Graham with a game-high of 27 points. Scoring 10 points each were Moncton resident Jeff Sadler and Fall River's Ben Chisholm.

Scoring for the Mystics were Carl Wickstrom of Oakfield, N.S., (14 points), Stephen Morris of Sackville, N.S. with 11 points, and with 10 each were Adam Jewkes from Truro, and Jeremy Skidmore from Bridgewater, N.S.

On Saturday, the hometown Mounties defeated the visiting UKC Blue Devils by a 73-54 score in ACAA men's basketball action.

The Mounties led most of the game with the top scorers for Mount Allison being Quispamsis resident Josh Graham (15), Truro native Brandon Malally (14), and Fall River, N.S. athlete Benjamin Chisholm (12).

For the Blue Devils, forward J.D. Howlett of Bedford, N.S., led his team with 19 points, while rookie Andrew Schipper from Toronto, Ont., contributed 12 points.

Mount Allison hosts the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics tomorrow in ACAA men's basketball at 4:30 pm.
