“Business services centres provide thousands of New Brunswickers with employment and contribute greatly to our economy,” said Premier Brian Gallant. “It is great to see New Brunswick’s strong workforce attract yet another significant investment by a multi-national business.”
TD plans to open its new business services centre in the Moncton area which will provide customer-service jobs supporting a number of their business lines. Once a location has been secured, TD will provide further details about recruitment and training opportunities.

This will be TD's second business services centre in the province. Its existing insurance business service centre employs about 700 people in Saint John. This new project is estimated to add $109,064,276 to the province’s GDP over six years.
In support of the creation of up to 575 new jobs, TD is eligible to receive up to $9 million in financial assistance from the provincial government. This assistance will be distributed as follows:
– Opportunities NB is offering $6.8 million in the form of a forgivable loan to help defray the capital expenditure costs associated with establishing the centre. Under the terms of the loan agreement, $2 million will be advanced once TD Bank signs a lease in the Moncton area and another $2.4 million will be disbursed once employees are taking calls at the facility. The final $2.4 million allocation under the loan will only be given when the company can show it has employed 200 full-time equivalent employees at the facility.
– The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour will also contribute about $2.1 million through the One Job Pledge program plus an additional $150,000 through Canada/NB Grant Program for Training. The total financial assistance received will be conditional on the number of employees hired through the One Job Pledge program. Under the program, employers are eligible to be reimbursed $10 per hour for a maximum of 40 hours for employees who are recent post-secondary graduates; employers pay the employees hired under the program and submit wage claims for participating employees.
New Brunswick’s business services centres sector offers career opportunities with some of the world’s most-recognized companies, including TD Insurance, WestJet, Sears, and Medavie Blue Cross.
Opportunities NB is a Crown corporation that seeks to attract and support opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs. It provides support services for businesses across the province.
