Upcoming Timber River antique market to benefit local charities

The annual Timber River Farm and Friends Antiques Market serves as a major fundraiser for the PEDVAC Foundation in Port Elgin. The one-day sale, which takes place tomorrow, Saturday, July 15, will also feature Maritime music and step dancing.

TIMBER RIVER, N.B. – The annual Timber River Farm and Friends Antiques Market Place will be held this coming Saturday, July 15.

As in previous years, Port Elgin’s PEDVAC Foundation will operate the canteen as a means of raising funds to support a local youth program, food bank and other programming.

This one-day antiques market will feature approximately 20 vendors selling their wares set up in a lovely country setting, located at Timber River Farm Country Antiques .

Items up for sale will include country furniture, folk art, hooked mats, quilts, baskets, crocks, toys and jewellery, just to name a few.

Off-road parking is available, and the event will also feature Maritime fiddling, step dancing and the best Shemogue oysters for sale at the canteen, along with homemade cake and other goodies.

The market will be held at 2942 Route 16, just outside Port Elgin.

The sale gets underway  at 9 a.m.
