FREDERICTON, N.B. – Anyone wishing to apply for the 2018 antlerless deer hunt can do so from July 16 to Aug. 17.
The number of permits for this season has increased from last year. Provincewide, 3,400 permits will be allowed, up 1,300 from the 2,100 available in 2017. The increase occurs primarily in central and southern New Brunswick.
“Hunting is a traditional activity many New Brunswick families look forward to every year,” said Energy and Resource Development Minister Rick Doucet. “I wish all applicants good luck in the draw and a safe and productive hunting season.”
New Brunswickers can apply for the draw through the Department of Energy and Resource Development’s e-licensing system. Applicants can use their Outdoors Card number to complete their application online, at Service New Brunswick centres and at registered vendors. A list of registered vendors is available online.
The results will be available Sept. 5.
