Man wanted by RCMP in connection to firearms incident in Sackville arrested

Man wanted on warrants in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia

The Southeast District RCMP is investigating following an off-road vehicle crash in Memramcook that left one man dead and another injured.
A 33-year-old man wanted on warrants from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia was arrested Tuesday.

CENTRAL ONSLOW, N.S – A 33-year-old man wanted on warrants from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia has been arrested.

On Jan. 16, 2018, around 11 a.m., Morris James Lanceleve was arrested without incident at a home in Central Onslow, N.S., by the Colchester County District RCMP after receiving information from the public. Lanceleve was wanted by the New Brunswick RCMP in connection to a firearms incident in Sackville, N.B.

On Sept. 7, 2017, a shot was fired outside a home on Weldon Street in Sackville. Later that same day, the RCMP in Nova Scotia arrested a 36-year-old woman in connection with the incident. On Sept. 18, 2017, an arrest warrant was issued for 33-year-old Morris James Lanceleve of no fixed address.

Lanceleve appeared in Truro Provincial Court on Jan. 17, 2018, and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on Jan. 18, 2018.

He is also charged in New Brunswick for discharging of firearm while being reckless, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon contrary to an order and failing to comply with an undertaking.
