Police: Warrant issued after man rams Amherst police vehicle

AMHERST, N.S. - Police are looking for a suspect in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia who they allege used a vehicle to ram a police vehicle.

Amherst police attempted to arrest Earl Stanley St. Croix, 36, July 5 in the parking lot of a local business.
Police say the man then - in an attempt to evade arrest -  drove into a police vehicle and narrowly missed hitting an officer.

The car collided a second time with the  cruiser before leaving the parking lot and heading towards Highway 104, the police report says.
 Police are looking to charge the 36 year-old with  flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and assault with a weapon.
