SACKVILLE, N.B. – The lady Titans varsity girls soccer team at Tantramar Regional High School (TRHS) hosted the 2017 Northeast Regionals this past weekend and qualified for the fourth consecutive season for AA Varsity Girls Soccer Provincials’ Final Four.

Tantramar opened play with an overtime victory 3-2 over the Roland-Pépin Prédateurs of Campbellton in one of the day’s two regional semi-finals. Grade 11 strikers Kyla Davis and Jesse Davis and Grade 9 striker Sara Grant scored for the Titans. Jesse Davis notched the winning tally in OT. The win guaranteed Tantramar a place at provincials.

The Bathurst Phantoms eliminated the Clément-Cormier Cavalières 1-0 in the other regional semi.

The Titans’ second game of the day was versus Bathurst High to determine Northeast # 1 and # 2 seeds for provincials to be held Saturday, Nov. 4, at Roland Pépin School in Campbellton. Bathurst won the game 3-1. Grade 10 mid Anna Crossman scored the Titans’ lone goal in the game.

Tantramar advances as Northeast #2 and will face Southwest #1 on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The Titans wish to thank their friends, family and fans for their super support at regionals – the first held in Sackville in many years.
