Fort Beauséjour - Fort Cumberland offering unique experimental musical performance

AULAC, N.B. – For the second consecutive year, Fort Beauséjour - Fort Cumberland is offering a unique experimental musical performance guaranteed to shake the national historic site’s bastions and casemates.

Roxanne Richard, partnering, engagement and communications officer with Parks Canada, said Wednesday they’re bring back Guitar War in the Fort, after last year’s Canada 150 event proved to be so popular.

This year’s event will feature musical performances by three New Brunswick professional musicians: Denis Surette (Les Païens, La Virée, Les Improbables), Stephen LeBlanc (An Acoustic Sin, Rock des Fous, Dominique Dupuis) and Jock Downs (Terry Whalen Band, Rik Reese).

The event will be held rain or shine and admission is free. Anyone planning to attend is advised to bring a chair or a blanket.

The event takes place from 2-4 p.m.
