RCMP Staff-Sgt. Victor Whalen confirmed reports that had been coming into the Spectator.
“I can confirm that there is a serious incident in the Clementsvale area,” he said. “It came in about 6:50 p.m. close to 7 o’clock and it did involve a young child and a combine.”
Annapolis RCMP is being assisted by Digby RCMP. EHS and firefighters were also on the scene.
“I believe the Life Flight is going in to the Annapolis Royal area,” he said.
The Spectator has confirmation that the helicopter landed on the causeway at the tidal power plant in Annapolis Royal.
He said things are moving so quickly that details are still coming in.
“I know it’s serious from the information I got, but I don’t know the extent,” Whalen said. He described the accident as tragic.
