SACKVILLE, N.B. –RCMP in southeastern New Brunswick issued a warning at approximately 3 p.m. urging high-sided vehicles to use caution on the Tran-Canada Highway near the Tantramar March due to high winds.
Environment Canada is warning the current heavy snowfall and high winds are expected to continue over southeastern New Brunswick today.
Their latest warning states: “A low-pressure system will track toward the Maritimes today and then move east of New Brunswick by Friday morning. Snow over southeastern New Brunswick will taper to flurries tonight. Total snowfall amounts of 15 cm or more are expected. The snow will be accompanied by strong northeasterly winds, which may give reduced visibility in blowing snow.
“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”
