SACKVILLE, N.B. — NEW BRUNSWICK – Applications for the 2019 Low-Income Seniors' Benefit will be available April 1 at Service New Brunswick Centres.

Eligible New Brunswickers also have the ability to print an application or apply online at both the Department of Finance (www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/finance.html) and Service New Brunswick (www2.snb.ca/content/snb/en.html) websites.

The last day to apply is Dec. 31.

To be eligible for the $400 benefit, a person must have been a resident of New Brunswick on Dec. 31, 2018, and have received one of the following federal benefits under the Old Age Security Act:

– Guaranteed Income Supplement (65 years or older)

– Allowance for Survivor Program (between 60 and 64 years old)

– Allowance Program (between 60 and 64 years old)

Completed applications may be submitted online or mailed to the Department of Finance, Revenue Administration Division, PO Box 1900, Fredericton, N.B., E3B 5G4.
