UPPER CAPE, N.B. – The Southeast District RCMP is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 28-year-old man from Upper Cape, about 14 kilometres east of Port Elgin.
Tyler Fillmore was reported missing to police on Sunday, Nov. 26, around 9:45 a.m. Later that same day, his vehicle was located off John A Trenholm Road in Port Elgin. Some of his personal belongings were found on a nearby wooded trail.
Ground Search and Rescue, Police Dog Services and local fire departments were deployed and searched the area that night. On Monday morning, the search was joined by RCMP Air Services and the Underwater Recovery Dive Team, as well as the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Fillmore is described as Caucasian, 5'7" tall, weighing 142 pounds with a slim build with red hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tyler Fillmore, or who may have seen him during the day on Nov. 26, is asked to contact the Southeast District RCMP, Sackville detachment, at 506-364-5023.
