It is with sadness the family of David Cochran Lockwood of Stoney Creek, Ontario announce his sudden passing at Juravenski Hospital, Hamilton, Ont. on April 11, 2019. Born in Mount Whatley, N.B. on March 24, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Miner) Lockwood. After graduating from Sackville High School, David was employed with Atlantic Engine Rebuilders in Moncton, N.B. and Standard Engine Rebuilders in Ontario until retirement. He was an avid bid euchre player and enjoyed a good game of auction 45 when visiting family and friends. David is survived by his brother Robert (Julia) Lockwood of Mount Whatley, N.B.; sisters Bertha Urquhart of Point de Bute, N.B. and Marianna (David) Estabrooks of Grimsby, Ont.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers Terence and William. As per David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Mount Whatley, N.B. on Saturday, August 10 at 2pm with the Rev. Lidvald Haugen-Strand officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mark’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of David may be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, St. Mark’s Cemetery or to the charity of one’s choice.
