Dorothy Rosemary Beke

BEKE, Dorothy Rosemary Dorothy Rosemary Beke passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the age of 89. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dorothy was a lovely lady with a heart of gold. She was actively involved for many years with the March of Dimes and the Knights of Columbus in Cambridge. She also worked with the Waterloo School Board as the Catholic Trustee. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband, Joseph Paul Beke; her five sons, Roger, Daniel (Margaret), Anthony, Christopher and Adrian; her sisters, Eleanor Azzopardi and Lorna Woodcock; grandchildren, Gwynne Mitchell (Alex), Alexander Joseph (AJ) Beke; great-grandchildren, Isla Mitchell and Rowan Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Charlie and Frank Beke, and many more extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel Leo Hopkins and Mary Theresa Scott; brothers, Donald, John (Jack) and Leo Hopkins, and her grandson, Nicholas St. Pierre-Beke. A private family service has taken place with burial at Parklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
