Geraldine Wheaton

WHEATON, Geraldine Ruth Earth's loss is Heaven' gain! Geraldine Ruth (Ward) Wheaton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2019. During her final days this was her greatest longing and now it is fulfilled. Gerry was born in Sackville NB to Frances (Crossman) and Raymond Ward. She married Bliss Wheaton and raised two sons (Alan and Gary). They moved to Massachusetts where Bliss found employment. After Bliss's passing, she, along with son Gary and is wife, moved to California to live near family. Gerry was a beautiful Christian lady who loved the Lord and would talk about Him to anyone willing to listen (regardless of who they were). She taught children in her church for many years and faithfully visited their families. She was known as Gram to everyone in her church regardless of their age. Music was one love that she shared with her siblings. They often spent many evenings singing around the piano while their mother played. She was a very generous lady who gave to anyone in need and she loved to bake. Gerry is survived by her sons, Gary (Mary) and Alan (Lynette), by her grandchildren, Holly (Randy) and their sons, Ethan and Gavin, Shannon (Ed), Kristi (Bryan) and Aspen. She is also survived by 3 brothers: (Glenn (Pauline), Bruce (Kathy), Mike (Melanie) and 3 sisters: Honey (Bob), Anne Marie (Elwyn), Deanne and brothers-in-law Bill Dougherty and Raymond Duncan. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bliss, sisters, June and Judy, and brother, Ray (Sonny). Anyone wishing to give a donation can give to Salem Baptist Church missions or the charity of one's choice.
