Lillian Doreen Cook
COOK, Lillian Doreen 1934 - 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lillian Doreen Cook, 85, of Sackville at her home on Saturday, December 28, 2019. Born in Upper Cape, NB, Lillian was a daughter of the late Randall and Flora (Allen) Briggs. Lillian was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. She was an angel to everyone and always willing to lend a helping hand. She was just a phone call away but never asked for anything for herself. Lillian loved to cook and share her creations with others. Lillian will be deeply missed by her husband Roland ‘Rollie’ Cook, of Sackville, with whom she would have shared her 65th wedding anniversary in February, 2020; her grandson, Paul Cole, Moncton; two great-grandsons, Patrick (Robyn) Cole, Sackville and DJ, Moncton; three great-great-granddaughters, Kalli, Kaylee and Gracie-Ann; as well as her brother, Joseph (Isabell) Briggs; a son-in-law, Hartley ‘Bud’ Tower; her sister-in-law, Muriel Briggs, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Armstrong; her granddaughter, Lisa Cole, and several brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300). Honouring Lillian's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at the Sackville Cemetery at a later date to be announced. Donations in memory of Lillian may be made to the Sackville Cemetery or the IWK Foundation. Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting Lillian's online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
