Marie Trenholm
Marie Trenholm Dorchester, N.B.- It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Trenholm on September 22, 2017, surrounded by love, at the Moncton City Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sackville, she grew up in Midgic, eventually settling in Dorchester. Marie was not only a devoted mother of eight children and an amazing Nanny, she was an active member of her community. She was a member of the Dorchester Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a volunteer at the Dorchester Food Bank and the Canadian Cancer Society; assisted elders in their homes for many years, worked for Elections Canada and volunteered for various events in the community. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her many friends, whether it was going to Bingo or Friday night poker. Marie will be dearly missed by her children, Craig, Timothy (Kim), Terry, Lynn, Shane (Sheena), Shelley (Alex), Adam (Tasha), and Melissa (James), as well as by her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Reginald and Laurie Sears; sisters, Edith Blacklock and Winona Hachey. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Lorne and Bessie (Holmes) Sears; sisters, Nora Phinney and Shirley Sears, as well as by her brothers, Cedric and Gerald Sears. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. There will be a private family graveside service. Marie's family wish to invite family and friends to join in celebrating Marie's life at the Dorchester Veterans Memorial Center on Saturday, September 30th from 2pm to 4pm. The family wishes to thank the Sackville Extramural staff and the Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton City Hospital. Also, a special thanks to Marie's loving friends and the community for their support. Donations can be made in Marie’s memory to a children's charity of your choice or to the Dorchester Food Bank. On-line condolences & sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family through our website www.campbellsfuneralhome.com or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
