Robert "Bob" Phinney

Robert "Bob" Phinney, 69, of Sackville, passed away at his home on October 7, 2018. Born in Sackville, Bob was the son of the late Ross ‘Jim’ and Verta ‘Dolly’ Phinney of Sackville. Bob worked at Fawcett Foundry for a number of years and then at Correctional Services of Canada for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and was a person who preferred to keep himself busy working around the yard. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Gwen (nee Dickie), Sackville; two children, Natasha (Chaz) Nelson of Oklahoma and Gerry of British Colulmbia. He will also be missed by his little dog, Ginger. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by a brother, Frank. Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). Honouring Bob’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
