Shirley Ann Milner Peacefully, with her family by her side, the death of Shirley Ann Milner, 74, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on the morning of Wednesday May 17, 2017 after a brief illness. Shirley was a daughter of the late Amos and Winnifred (Brown) Allen. Shirley had been an LPN for thirty three years and finished out her career as a Ward Clerk at the Sackville Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement. She loved going to Bingo, and going out to supper with her best friend, Louise Belliveau. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and doing puzzles. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Shirley leaves to mourn her husband of 53 years, Harry Milner, Westcock; her daughters, Betty (Ross) Legere, Amherst and Barb (Tim) Milner, Sackville; her grandsons, Blake and Randy Milner, Sackville; two granddaughters, Amy & Shirley Kay, Amherst; her two great grandsons, Drivian and Daniel Kay, Amherst; a brother, Walter (Roberta) Allen, Moncton, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by a brother, John Allen. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). Honouring Shirley's wishes, there is to be no visitation or funeral services. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
