Mount Allison’s Mangold named 2018 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association All-Canadian

SACKVILLE, N.B. – Mount Allison University’s has been named a 2018 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women’s basketball All-Canadian.

This year’s ACAA player of the year, Mangold led the conference with 17.4 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. A third-year forward, she led the Mounties to a 13-5 record and second-place finish in the ACAA.

Mangold also led her team in scoring during their opening game of the 2018 CCAA women’s basketball national championships on Thursday evening against the Medicine Hat Rattlers. Mangold was good for 20 points and 14 boards in the Mounties’ 61-49 victory over the Rattlers.

Now a two-time CCAA All-Canadian, Mangold is also a CCAA Academic All-Canadian and CCAA National Scholar.

During her time at Mount Allison, Mangold has pushed the competitiveness of the entire Mounties program.
