Mounties competing at CCAA badminton championship

Event is taking place March 6-9 at Dalhousie Agriculture Campus near Truro

SACKVILLE, N.B. —

Half a dozen Mount Allison badminton players are competing this weekend in the national badminton championship.

Hosted by the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, the event is taking place at the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus, near Truro, N.S. Players are competing in five categories, including women's singles, men's singles, women's doubles, men's doubles and mixed doubles.

Mountie Suzuha Tanaka is competing in women's singles, while Jaryd Morrissey is taking on competitors in men's singles, Maddy Morrissey and Isabelle Choumiline are the women's doubles competitors, and Azeem Munawar and Kelsey MacKinnon are playing in the mixed doubles category.
