SAINT JOHN, N.B. — SAINT JOHN, N.B. — The MacIntyre Chevy Panthers posted a win and a loss against the Fundy Nationals in Nova Scotia Female Midget ‘AAA’ Hockey League play over the weekend.

Sunday, Shann Cox scored the winner on the power play to give the Panthers a 2-1 win over the Nationals. Jessica MacLean also scored on the power play for the Panthers. Regan LeBlanc replied for the Nationals.

In goal, Learose Aucoin stopped 27 shots in the win. Paige Mather made 27 stops in the loss.

Saturday, the host Fundy club won by a 3-2 score.

Kate Leblanc led the way with two goals and Julia Downey added a single. Lauren Barrett (one goal, one assist) and MacLean scored for the Panthers.

Claire Noftell made 39 saves in the win between the pipes. Emma Swansburg deflected 23 shots in the loss.
