Funding for educational classroom items will again be provided to classroom teachers in the new school year due to the renewal of the teaching supplies fund.
"As a government, we recognize the importance of supporting New Brunswick's classroom teachers in their work to provide a high quality education to all our students," said Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Marie-Claude Blais. "The continuation of the classroom supplies fund will help teachers to promote students' learning on their journey to reach their full potential."
As was the case during the past academic year, teachers that provide instruction to students will be eligible to claim up to $250 for educational classroom materials. Introduced in 2011, the fund provides money for the purchase of items that support student learning including classroom supplies, resources and educational project items.
"Investments in education are vital to ensuring all young New Brunswickers can learn, thrive and become self-reliant citizens who can build their own future and contribute to the province's growth," Blais said.
