SACKVILLE, N.B. – Two Amherst-area men will head to court later this month to face robbery charges related to an incident in early August in Sackville.
Local RCMP say on Friday, Aug. 9, at approximately 10:30 p.m., two males approached another male walking on Lorne Street. The victim was then assaulted and had his backpack stolen, which contained an undisclosed amount of money.
A witness was able to provide a description to police of one of the two suspects and he was arrested on Main Street shortly after the robbery. The second suspect was arrested at a later date.
Both men are said to be from the Amherst area and are expected to be in Moncton provincial court on Monday, Sept. 30.
