Sackville Combines facing elimination

The Sackville Bud Lite Combines will be facing elimination in their best-of-seven series versus the Richibucto Rum Runners in ESHL playoff action this coming Friday at home.

The Rum Runners won both of the weekend games to take a commanding 3- 0 lead in the best-of-seven semi-finals against the Combines.

The Sackville Bud Lite Combines will be facing elimination in their best-of-seven series versus the Richibucto Rum Runners in ESHL playoff action this coming Friday at home.

The Rum Runners won both of the weekend games to take a commanding 3- 0 lead in the best-of-seven semi-finals against the Combines.

Friday night, in Sackville, the Rum Runners had a 7-3 win over the Bud Lite Combines. Scoring for the Combines were Derek Rushton, Nicolas Laplante and Trevor Peterson. Mike Charlton took the loss in goal.

On Saturday night in Cocagne, it was again the Rum Runners with an 8-2 win over the Combines. Sackville scorers were Matt Bowes and Toby Knockwood, each with a goal. Charlton once again suffered the loss for the Combines.

Game number four of this semi-finals series will be played in Sackville this Friday, March 12 at 8:30 p.m. and game five, if necessary, will be back in Cocagne on Saturday, March 13 at 8:15 p.m.
