The Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries’ Buy Local campaign is getting ready for another season of promoting homegrown food and beverages. Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries Minister Rick Doucet officially launched the 2016 campaign this week.
SACKVILLE, N.B. – The Town of Sackville is partnering with the Sackville Commons and Coworking, the Greater Sackville Chamber of Commerce and Renaissance Sackville to present a Planning and Implementing a Successful Buy Local Campaign workshop on June 27 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Cranewood on Main.
The workshop is being presented by Learn Sphere and it's a regular $40 value, being subsidized by the Town to be offered for $10. It follows on a from an online survey and information meeting that were held this spring to gauge interest in creating a buy local campaign for Sackville and to gather ideas on how to it most effectively. This workshop will cover: the benefits, economic and other, of buying local; why people buy - or don't buy - local; using principles of social marketing (not social media); and examples of best practices, creative approaches, and success stories. This workshop is designed for community leader, small business owners and anyone with a passion for building a stronger local economy.
