SACKVILLE, N.B. – Yes, it’s that time of year again! The Town of Sackville will once again be abuzz with music, laughter, and lots of Christmas spirit as the merchants of the community host their 26th annual Moonlight Madness on Nov. 17. This special evening has become a favourite for young and old alike.
As in previous years, many of the shops and restaurants are planning to offer Christmas shopping savings throughout the day and evening. Many local businesses will be open after 9 p.m., some until midnight.
A special bonus for shoppers is the chance to win a package of gift certificates and products from numerous local businesses. A purchase at any of the participating businesses will earn a ballot, with the winning draw to take place during Town Council meeting in December.
Santa himself will visit Sackville, taking time to hear children’s wishes and to collect letters. Children young and old can visit him in the Bill Johnstone Memorial Park.
The Sackville Public Library will have games, puzzles, holiday book displays, crafts etc. and will be serving snacks and hot chocolate. A few popular movie and story characters will be strolling downtown to greet the children.
There will be lots of vendors on Main Street, everything from baked goods to leggings! There will be special art exhibits and beautiful Christmas gift ideas at the Craft Gallery and the Hospital Gift Shop. And for your furry friends, Cattail Ridge will once again offer pet photos on Nov. 17 only (please call for an appointment).
Don’t forget you can also enjoy a horse and wagon ride, free of charge – at Ford Lane next to Canada Post.
Feel good about spending your holiday budget in Sackville with local business owners, and keep our community growing! Stroll the shops and you just may be amazed at the variety of items offered.
